Brevard County is located in east-central Florida, along the Atlantic coast. It is part of the Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville metropolitan area. The county has a total area of 1,662 square miles, with 1,018 square miles of land and 644 square miles of water. It is bordered by Volusia County to the north, Indian River County to the south, Osceola and Orange Counties to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. 

Demographics 

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Brevard County had a population of 608,888. The racial makeup was 79.9% White, 11.5% Black or African American, 3.3% Asian, 0.6% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 1.8% from other races, and 2.8% from two or more races. Additionally, 10.3% were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
