Broward County is located in southeastern Florida and is part of the Miami metropolitan area. It is bordered by Palm Beach County to the north and Miami-Dade County to the south. The county has a total area of 1,322 square miles, with 1,203 square miles of land and 119 square miles of water. Its eastern border is the Atlantic Ocean. 

Demographics 

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Broward County had a population of 1,944,375, making it the second most populous county in Florida after Miami-Dade. The racial makeup was 62.9% White, 29.7% Black or African American, 3.6% Asian, 0.6% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 3.1% from other races. Additionally, 30.5% were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
