Duval County is located in the northeastern corner of Florida, along the Atlantic coast. It has a total area of 918 square miles, with 762 square miles of land and 156 square miles of water. The county is bordered by Nassau County to the north, Baker County to the west, Clay and St. Johns counties to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. 

Demographics 

According to the 2022 U.S. Census estimate, Duval County had a population of 1,016,536, making it the sixth most populous county in Florida. The racial makeup was 57.9% White, 29.1% Black or African American, 5.4% Asian, 0.4% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 7.1% from other races. Additionally, 11.3% were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
