Orange County is located in central Florida, part of the Orlando metropolitan area. It has a total area of 1,003 square miles, with 903 square miles of land and 100 square miles (10%) of water. Orange County is bordered by Seminole County to the north, Volusia and Brevard counties to the northeast and east, Osceola County to the south, Polk County to the southwest, and Lake County to the west. 

Demographics 

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Orange County had a population of 1,429,908, making it the fifth-most populous county in Florida. The racial makeup was 55.9% White, 22.2% Black or African American, 6.2% Asian, 0.6% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 15.0% from other races or two or more races. Additionally, 31.9% were Hispanic or Latino of any race. The 2024 estimated population for Orange County is 1,452,726, with a growth rate of 1.6% since 2020.
