Pasco County is located on the west central coast of Florida, part of the Tampa Bay area. It has a total area of 868 square miles, with 747 square miles of land and 122 square miles (14.0%) of water. Pasco County is bordered by Hernando County to the north, Polk County to the east, Hillsborough County to the southeast, and Pinellas County to the southwest, with the Gulf of Mexico along its western coastline. 

Demographics 

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Pasco County had a population of 561,691. The racial makeup was 83.6% White, 8.2% Black or African American, 3.1% Asian, 0.4% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 4.6% from other races or two or more races. Additionally, 17.5% were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
