Seminole County is located in central Florida, part of the Orlando metropolitan area. It has a total area of 345 square miles, with 309 square miles of land and 36 square miles (10.4%) of water. Seminole County is bordered by Orange County to the south, Volusia County to the northeast, and Brevard County to the east. 

Demographics 

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Seminole County had a population of 470,856, making it the 13th most populous county in Florida. The racial makeup was 79.9% White, 10.6% Black or African American, 5.4% Asian, 0.4% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 3.6% from other races or two or more races. Additionally, 16.1% were Hispanic or Latino of any race. The 2022 estimated population for Seminole County is 476,190, with a growth rate of around 1.1% since 2020.

Seminole County has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters. Average highs are around 92°F in July, and average lows are around 55°F in January. The county is prone to severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, and tropical storms during the summer and fall months. Major hurricanes that have impacted Seminole County include Hurricane Charley in 2004, Hurricane Frances in 2004, and Hurricane Irma in 2017.
